Change a child's life - change your own.

The Children’s Aid Society of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG) offers a wide variety of volunteering opportunities.

Volunteer driver

If you are 18 years of age or older and would like to volunteer to help children and youth of all ages, consider becoming a volunteer driver with the Children’s Aid Society of SDG.

Volunteer drivers assist families when they are unable to transport their children by driving them to and from appointments, visits, and other meaningful outings or events. The volunteer driver also ensures that the child reaches his or her destination on time and may also drive a responsible adult who is caring for the child.

If you are interested in being a volunteer driver, please forward your request to public.relations@cwcas.ca.

Difference Maker volunteer

Are you 14 years of age or older and would you like to make a difference in your community?

Difference Maker volunteers can help plan, organize or participate in rolling out community events related to the Child Abuse Prevention Campaign or the Send a Kid to Camp Campaign. These events bring awareness and education to the public about issues of child abuse, how to prevent it, and what can be done to keep children and youth safe.

Prevention is the key to truly diminishing child abuse and neglect in our community. Be part of the team that helps promote keeping kids safe and be a Difference Maker to one child or youth!

And yes, if you’re a high school student, you will be eligible to receive volunteer hours for mandatory high school credits.

If you are interested in being a Difference Maker, please forward your request to volunteer@cwcas.ca.
